Carrying the light of Christ where it's needed most
Born from a calling to reach the forgotten
Real Vida was born from a calling: to carry the message of Christ to those the world has forgotten. We believe no one is beyond the reach of God's grace — not even behind prison walls.
Through our prison ministry podcast, music, and video content, we strive to be a lifeline for the incarcerated and their families. Every episode is recorded with one purpose — to remind every listener that they are seen, loved, and worthy of redemption through Jesus Christ.
We are a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to shining light in the darkest places. From prison outreach and discipleship to worship music and testimonies of transformed lives, Real Vida exists to proclaim freedom, hope, and the unshakable love of God.
Passionate people united by a calling
The Real Vida team stands united in the belief that every person is "one" in Christ.
Our volunteers gather before entering facilities, ready to share hope and encouragement.
A moment of joy after seeing lives touched by the Gospel.
To proclaim freedom, hope, and the unshakable love of God behind bars
Our ministry is built on three pillars: prayer, presence, and proclamation. We pray for the incarcerated, we show up in person to share the Gospel, and we proclaim Christ through every medium available — podcast, music, video, and written word.
The mural on our studio wall says it best: "Pray Till Hooa — God Lives G5." It's a reminder that our battle is spiritual, and our weapon is prayer.
We partner with chaplains, volunteers, and local churches to create environments where inmates can encounter God's love freely and experience the transformation that only Christ can bring.
Two decades of faithful service to the forgotten
Real Vida Ministries began operating in Texas, focused on reaching those traditionally overlooked by the institutional church — especially men and women struggling with addiction. The ministry was built on the New Testament Church model with an emphasis on intense personal discipleship.
Real Vida launched "Real Talk," a weekly radio program airing on stations strategically selected near large prisons and clusters of correctional units across Texas. The program combined Biblical teaching, testimonies, interviews, and Christian music.
The weekly radio program was converted into audio podcasts, streaming on all major platforms including Spotify, iHeart Radio, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, and Amazon Music. The podcast has been streamed thousands of times across six of the seven continents.
Real Vida TV was approved for the Securus tablet platform, reaching approximately 1.2 million incarcerated persons in 3,400 correctional facilities across 46 states. This opened a massive door for ministry beyond what radio alone could reach.
Real Vida joined the Pando App, a platform created by God Behind Bars to provide quality Christian content for the incarcerated. Despite being a smaller ministry, Real Vida TV quickly became one of the most watched programs, consistently trending in the Top 10.
Real Vida TV was approved for Viapath Technologies tablets, adding over 1,500 prisons and jails in the U.S. plus facilities in Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and Puerto Rico. With this addition, Real Vida now reaches nearly 100% of the approximately 3.5 million prisoners in America.
The Bible is the only book that dictates our beliefs
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days and will return again to reign as King of Kings.
Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works — only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation, providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8
The Bible is God's word to all men. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living — truth without any mixture of error.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Christ as Savior. Communion is an ordinance given to all believers to remember His sacrifice for us.
Colossians 2:12; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
